As Managing Director and founder of OCG, Eric draws on over 30 years of progressive experience assisting clients to successfully articulate and implement strategy. He is recognized for his particular expertise in delivering value-added, cost-effective solutions in organizational effectiveness, including key HR aspects such as executive compensation and performance measurement.
Eric has led over 800 consulting assignments to a broad spectrum of both public and private organizations in Canada, the United States and Bermuda. He has worked closely with municipalities, government agencies, financial services, property development, electronics, mining, and pulp and paper – and with various sizes of companies from start-ups to organizations with over $9 B in revenue.
Eric has demonstrated an innate understanding of which approaches will achieve optimum results at each stage of corporate development. He has developed significant long-term relationships with a broad base of clients who rely on his ability to empower and transform their organizations by developing and implementing strategic and business plans, activity-based management programs, human resource strategy, compensation programs, organizational design initiatives, and training and development programs.
In addition to his work with OCG, Eric is a Moderator/Facilitator for the Society of Management Accountant’s Professional Program. He teaches the graduate seminar in compensation theory at the University of Toronto, and a course in Strategic Performance Measurement for the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto. Eric also designed, developed and is teaching a program in Compensation for Non-Compensation Professionals at Queen’s University Industrial Relations Centre.
Eric is a doctoral candidate in compensation at Cornell University. He has a BA and an MBA from Queens University. He is a Fellow of The Society of Certified Management Accountants of Canada (FCMA) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). He also holds a Senior Human Resource Professional designation (SHRP).
